Matthew 5-7

Matthew 5-7
When I read the verse on Salt and Light, I had my own interpretation. Pastor taught us few more things about that section on Sunday. This was good because it allowed me to listing to his perspective as well as putting my thoughts together.  There is a song I have on my iTunes by Kari Jobe, “ WE ARE”  and she says....
We are the light of the world
We are the city on a hill
We are the light of the world
We gotta, We gotta
We got let the light shine...
This falls right in that line :)
So lets not get influence by those who are not willing to their light to be shined, if we do we will lose our saltiness.
As I was reading ch.5 21-25 I had to step back and reevaluate myself. As a human being, we all know that we are not perfect. I believe one of the things I have made an improvement on is learning to forgive and forget. That part of me I feel is unbeatable, but with the grace of God I will learn to move past that part of me.
It’s amazing how as humans, we worry so much each and everyday. In Ch.6 25-34 should be a reminder to all of us how we worry about little things in life that doesn’t even matter. Personally I learned it the hard way, nothing in life goes as you plan or works out better if you worry about them. You can beat your head against the wall if you like; there is nothing that can change the fact that God has a better plan for us all!!!
We all need a good foundation in our lives. As it is written in Matthew Ch.7 24-27, if we fill ourselves with the word of God and put it to use we are standing strong. Nothing can put us down. For those who are not, are standing weak and anything that comes their way will knock them down. This is very important for me, this bible study group will help me stay on that lane to success.
Question to consider
Are you focused on achieving success in the kingdom of this world or in the kingdom of heaven?
