Matthew 3-4

The baptism of Jesus signifies the moment he sees the light ( the sprit of God). When we are baptized we are tied with Jesus. We are to live a new life with Christ as well as commit to follow and believe in him. Once Jesus was baptized, he pursued on a journey to do great things such as preaching and healing the sick.
As we all face temptation in our daily lives, Jesus himself was tempted by the devil. “ If you are the Son of god,’’ he said, “Throw yourself down. For it is written: “He will command his angles concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.” (Mat 4:6) Jesus responded “Do not put the Lord your God to the test.” (Mat 4: 7) When we allow temptation take over us, we become distant with God. When have faith in our Lord Jesus, we can defend ourselves from evil. For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.”  (Mat 4:10) In todays society, there are many things that can lead to temptation, but if we stand firm and serve our ONLY God, nothing can harm us.
Here is a question I found that we can all think about
  • Suppose that Jesus had never come, that God had merely sent an elaborate love note. What difference would that have made?
